Five companies with $1 trillion dollar valuations are virtually devouring the S&P 500 index.
- Nvidia (NVDA), the A.I. maker and designer, most recently joined the exclusive club after a 40% moonshot since May 15th.
- The club now consists of Apple, Microsoft, Google parent Alphabet, Amazon, and now Nvidia.
These 5 stocks account for 96% of the S&P 500’s gains this year. That’s not a good thing.
- The Trillion-Dollar Club’s huge weight is making the S&P 500 lopsided and the hopes (and prices) for the members is just too high.
