European Commission and WHO launch new digital health initiative

Starting this month the WHO will take up the European Union (EU) system of digital COVID-19 certification (EUDCC).
- The EUDCC is a digitized confirmation that a person has been vaccinated against COVID-19, tested for infection with SARS-CoV-2, or recovered from COVID-19.
The WHO plans to build on the EU’s current system and extend its reach globally.
