Artificial intelligence is helping American cops find criminals by spying on you while you drive.

• The AI searches through a database of 1.6 billion license plate records that have been collected so far to determine whether or not you’re a drug trafficker… or, at least, in theory.

• Where do we draw the line between privacy and safety? After all, our Fourth Amendment protects us from unreasonable searches and seizures by the government.
• How long until officers everywhere have access to spy on citizens? With no judicial oversight, what’s stopping local police authorities from using this to their own devices, whatever they might be?
